Overview

Action contre la Faim France is seeking a Community Outreach and Education Coordinator for the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. This role focuses on conducting awareness-raising sessions with young audiences in schools across Poitiers, Bordeaux, and Limoges academies, representing the organization in educational institutions, and developing the "Race Against Hunger" program.

Position Details

• Location: Poitiers, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France
• Work Mode: Hybrid - Primary location in Poitiers with numerous trips throughout the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region; telecommuting available across metropolitan France
• On-site Requirements: No mandatory in-office presence except collective meetings (up to 3 days/month) and 2 integration days
• Contract Type: Fixed-term contract (CDD) - 8 weeks (February 20 - April 3, 2026)
• Employment Level: Supervisory Agent (Agent de maîtrise), Full-time

Key Responsibilities

Educational Outreach

• Conduct awareness-raising sessions with young audiences in schools across Poitiers, Bordeaux, and Limoges academies
• Represent Action contre la Faim in educational institutions
• Develop and deliver engaging educational content on humanitarian issues
• Facilitate the "Race Against Hunger" program

Program Coordination & Support

• Support activity planning and coordination
• Coordinate and support volunteer activities
• Travel extensively throughout the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region for program delivery
• Contribute to program development and improvement

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree level education (Bac +2/3)
• Strong animation/facilitation experience with educational groups
• BAFA certification preferred (French youth leadership certification)

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent interpersonal skills, particularly with children and adolescents
• Public speaking ability and pedagogical aptitude
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to engage diverse audiences effectively
• Organizational and planning abilities

Additional Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• Ideally personal vehicle for regional travel
• Ability to travel frequently throughout Nouvelle-Aquitaine region

Compensation & Benefits

Salary

• Annual Gross: €30,000-€34,000 (13 months)

Time Off

• 25 vacation days annually
• 21 RTT (compensatory time off) days annually
