Journey of Hope Nepal

Communication and Outreach Intern/Volunteer

internship remote: Remote

Job Description

Journey of Hope-Nepal is a newly established 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to provide educational opportunities to students from poor and marginalized families in Nepal. We envision that every child has access to quality of education that helps to unlock their full potential and contribute to a better, brighter future for themselves and their families, communities and country. The program activities include provision of scholarship, quality of education, construction of school buildings in poor communities, and youth skill training for employment. We strongly believe that education is a powerful tool that brings a positive change into a person's life, their family, community and nation. Journey of Hope-Nepal's approach is to work in partnership with local non-profit organizations to implement impactful sustainable and culturally appropriate programs. We have established a partnership with a local organization in Nepal, which has a small endowment fund, and its returns support the scholarship program. Though on a small scale, we have already launched the first round of the scholarship program. Now we have a system and process in place to select the students and award and manage the scholarship program. This is an important milestone to advance Journey of Hope Foundation's mission.

We are looking for a Communication and Outreach Intern/Volunteer.

Location: Working from home

Duration: 6 months or more. Working hours may be flexible.

Remuneration: This is an unpaid position.

Expected Start Date: Second week of April 2026

Position Overview

The Communications and Outreach Intern/Volunteer supports the Journey of Hope Nepal's overall communications including researching and updating website, other social media, preparation and editing of documents, data collection, analysis and entry, and other administrative tasks. The intern/volunteer will also support preparations and logistics for special events, as well as provide on-site support during such events.
