Position Summary

Greater Rochester Habitat for Humanity seeks a Director of Construction to lead construction operations across Monroe, Ontario, and Wayne counties, ensuring safe, high-quality homebuilding aligned with affiliate strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead construction operations and process standardization across projects
• Manage construction leadership team and coordinate with committees and volunteers
• Oversee budgets, schedules, subcontractors, vendors, and compliance
• Support land acquisition assessments and ensure site feasibility
• Promote safety programs and quality control across all sites
• Partner with development and volunteer teams to support mission delivery

Requirements

• 10+ years in residential construction
• 5+ years of leadership/project management experience
• Knowledge of building codes, permitting, OSHA standards, and construction systems
• Strong project scheduling, budgeting, and team leadership skills
• NYS driver's license; willingness to obtain certifications (CPR/First Aid, OSHA 10, lead abatement)
