Gallery Associate - Sales & Merchandising

Position Summary

Spruill Center for the Arts seeks a full-time Gallery Associate to support gallery retail merchandising, sales, and operations across the Spruill Gallery (Dunwoody) and Spruill Studios (Chamblee). The role supports exhibitions, artist relations, and day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Merchandise and manage the gallery shop, checkout, and sales support
• Assist with studio operations, residency coordination, and artist relations
• Support exhibitions, event promotion, and community engagement
• Maintain inventory, visual displays, and seasonal merchandising
• Provide customer service and manage day-to-day gallery operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 1-3 years of related retail/merchandising experience
• Customer service and visual merchandising experience
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
• Proficiency with Office 365; ability to learn POS/inventory tools
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Work Schedule & Environment

• Approximately 40 hours/week; includes weekends, holidays, and event periods
• Travel between Dunwoody and Chamblee locations
• Physical requirements include lifting and installation support

Compensation & Benefits

• $22 per hour
