Grants and Partnership Head of Department - Afghanistan

Job Description

Candidates will oversee grants management processes throughout project cycles, lead proposal development with program teams, manage internal and external reporting, supervise the grants team, engage with donors, and provide strategic oversight of partnerships. Responsibilities include ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance and demonstrating commitment to gender equality standards.

Required Qualifications

• Degree in fundraising, communications, development, humanitarian aid, or international relations
• Minimum 5 years' experience in humanitarian/development fundraising from institutional donors
• Ability to work independently under pressure with strong proposal and report writing skills
• Managerial competencies including leadership and team capacity-building expertise
• Exceptional English writing skills, communication and interpersonal skills

Compensation (International Contract)

• Monthly gross salary: €2,597–€2,968 (plus 13th month)
• Monthly per diem/living allowance: €681 net
• Country allowance: €450
• Medical coverage, transportation, accommodation included
• 25 paid days annual leave + 20 rest-and-recuperation days
• Pension reimbursement: 16% of gross salary (non-French citizens)

• Type: Fixed-term, 12 months (French legislation for international applicants)
