Overview

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is seeking a Pharmacy Project Manager for their Bangui project in the Central African Republic. This position involves defining, implementing, coordinating and supervising all pharmacy-related activities in compliance with MSF standards and protocols.

Position Details

• Location: Bangui, Central African Republic
• Contract Type: Fixed-term, full-time (6-9 months)
• Start Date: June 2026

• Note: This is not a family position

Key Responsibilities

Supply Chain Management

• Support ordering and supply procedures for medicines and devices
• Collect and prepare accurate inventory and consumption data
• Monitor stock management across all project pharmacies
• Ensure proper recording of stock and inventory files
• Track medicine and device flows; report quality issues

Quality & Safety

• Maintain cold chain integrity with logistics teams
• Maintain proper storage conditions and organization per MSF protocols
• Enforce hygiene and safety procedures
• Support documentation for controlled substances

Management & Coordination

• Manage personnel involved in pharmacy operations
• Support medical coordinator and pharmacy coordinator on planning
• Manage expired/pre-expired medicines to minimize waste
• Coordinate inventories per established schedules

Required Qualifications

Essential Requirements

• Education: Pharmacy degree (Diplôme en pharmacie essentiel)
• Experience: Minimum 2 years pharmacy experience
• Languages: French and English essential
• Computer Skills: Proficiency in Word, Excel, Internet
• Management: Personnel management experience

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: According to MSF OCBA field salary grid, level 10
• Contract: Fixed-term, full-time
• Duration: 6-9 months
